Dogen said, "Slipping out of your old skin, not held back by past views , you manifest immediately what has been dormant for boundless eons." <br /><br />sometimes skin is translated as peel, or my favorite, husk! <br /><br />And I don't really think of Zen buddhism as a religion. I feel more of the artist/philosopher, even scientist path emerge. For me, it's about the creation.
